Peak Oil
For a complete description visit this Peak Oil article on Wikipedia.
Fact: Will run out of oil at some unknown time in the future.
Fact: Many regions around the world have already peaked, like Texas.
Fact: Places like Saudia Arabia will probably be one of the last places in the world to have oil reserves.
Fact: The people of the world are using more and more oil everyday.
So here’s the problem, since we don’t know when the oil will run out and we can see it going up in price already, doesn’t it make sense to choose to use less of it today? Doesn’t it make sense to drive more efficient vehicles and use less fossil fuel energy all the way around?
It’s not crazy to be frugal so it’s not crazy to prepare for peak oil.
The worst thing that could happen is you’d save some money and have cleaner air to breath. Does that sound so bad?
