Take a look at your first electric car – Mitsubishi i MiEV
In my humble opinion the Mitsubishi i MiEV seems to be way out in front of the production electric car pack. They have been testing these little cars for a couple years and are fast approaching production readiness.

It should have a top speed of 80 MPH and travel about 100 miles on a single charge. In most cases you’d charge it overnight by plugging it in and the overall cost to operate would be minimal compared to gas powered cars.
The cost should also be similar to a comparable hybrid car but has yet to be determined. When this car hits the market it is sure to be a big winner and put Mitsubishi right out in front of the electric car market.
