Porsche Panamera Will Be A Hybrid
We’re Porsche Addicts… I know, I know, green car people loving gas gobbling high performance sports cars like Porsche is just wrong. But maybe Porsche will help us out of our hyprocracy.
Porsche has announced that the new four door Panamera will be offered as a hybrid and share the new Cayenne Hybrid technology. A gasoline only version will also be available for all you gasoholics.
Porsche’s approach to hybrid has been a little different than many other, like Toyota’s Prius. The Porsche solution allows driving on batteries only, gas only, or a combination of both depending on conditions and driving style. The Cayenne for example can travel up to 75 MPH on the batteries alone.
We assume this also means that the Porsche solution will make a better plug-in hybrid in the future since it has more battery reserves on-board than most of the current hybrid solutions.
